Confirmation

A religious ceremony where a bishop is blessing a boy in a red robe, with a young man standing beside them in a modern church setting.

Confirmation is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation. In this sacrament, Catholics receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit, strengthening them to live as true disciples of Christ. The Holy Spirit deepens our baptismal grace, empowering us to practice our faith with courage and joy, and to bear witness to Christ in all circumstances.

"When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house… And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit."
Acts 2:1–4

"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness."
Galatians 5:22
