Holy Matrimony of Catalina Arzani & Jacques Indekeu
We joyfully witness the union of Catalina and Jacques Indekeu in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony at St. Agnes Catholic Parish. Joined in Christ and strengthened by His grace, they begin their vocation as husband and wife. May their covenant be a living sign of Christ’s faithful love and a source of blessing for all.
Holy Matirmony of Alanis Bacino & Hugo Alban
We rejoice with Alanis Bacino & Hugo Alban as they celebrated the beautiful Sacrament of Holy Matrimony at St. Agnes Catholic Parish. Surrounded by the love of their families, friends, and the grace of God, they began their new life together united in Christ’s love.
Sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit
What a grace-filled day at St. Agnes. Our CCD and Academy students received the Sacrament of Confirmation, sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit. Archbishop Thomas Wenski presided over the Mass, with Father Juan Carlos and Father Jorge concelebrating.
It was truly an incredible time with the Lord, filled with His presence, His peace, and the outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit upon our confirmandi. In Confirmation, the Church teaches that we are strengthened by the Holy Spirit, more deeply united to Christ, and sent forth to live boldly as His witnesses in the world. “Be sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit.”
May they go forth with courage, wisdom, and zeal. As Catherine of Siena reminds us:
“Be who God meant you to be, and you will set the world on fire.”
Celebrating the Sacrament of Baptism at St. Agnes
Over the past weeks, we have had the great blessing of celebrating several Baptisms in our parish. Our Church rejoices with these families and warmly welcomes each child into the Body of Christ and the St. Agnes community. We rejoice with their families and give thanks to God for the gift of new life in Christ.
A Quiet Leader, A Powerful Voice: Francisco Pages
We are proud to celebrate one of our own, Francisco Pages, a St. Agnes Catholic Academy alumnus, whose journey reflects both excellence and a deep commitment to service.
Francisco, who grew up in our St. Agnes community and now attends Immaculata-La Salle High School, recently received the 2026 Student Production Award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Suncoast Chapter) for his work Chasing Zero, earning recognition in the Solo Storyteller category.
Divine Mercy Novena
Over these past days, our parish has gathered daily at 3:00 PM to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. The Chapel has been filled each afternoon, a beautiful sign of hearts drawn to the Lord and His infinite mercy.
As we conclude the Novena on Saturday, April 11, we prepare to celebrate the Feast of Divine Mercy. Join us on Sunday, April 12 at 3:00 PM in the Church for the Divine Mercy Chaplet with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, along with prayer and song.
Happy Birthday, Sister María José!
Thank you for all that you do for our St. Agnes family and for all those who walk beside you. We are so blessed to have you with us. May the Lord and our Blessed Mother bless you abundantly!
From Ashes to Resurrection
Over the past weeks, our St. Agnes parish family has journeyed together through one of the most meaningful seasons of the Church: from the beginning of Lent on Ash Wednesday to the joy of Easter.
Palm Sunday at St. Agnes
This past Sunday, our parish gathered to celebrate Palm Sunday, marking the beginning of Holy Week. With palms in hand, we joined in the joyful procession, proclaiming “Hosanna” as Jesus entered Jerusalem.
So many parishioners and visitors joined us for Mass, what a joy to witness so many hearts seeking Him who has saved us.
As the liturgy unfolded, we were led into the solemn reading of the Passion, reminding us of the journey from praise to sacrifice.
Walking the Way of the Cross
This week, our Religious Education students, guided by Sister María José and their catechists, walked the Way of the Cross. Through reading, prayer and reflection, they learned and journeyed with Jesus in His Passion, preparing their hearts for the most important week in the life of the Church.
Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord
On March 25, we celebrated the Solemnity of the Annunciation, recalling the moment when the Angel Gabriel announced to the Virgin Mary that she would become the Mother of our Savior. Through her humble and faithful “yes,” God’s plan of salvation began to unfold for the whole world. May Mary’s trust and openness continue to inspire our Academy and Parish to listen to God’s voice and respond with courage and love in our daily lives. “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” — Luke 1:38. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

We joyfully celebrate the Baptism of Benjamin Borja Zablah, who has been welcomed into the life of Christ and His Church. May he grow surrounded by faith, the love of his family, and the grace of God. Welcome to our parish family, Benjamin!
Preparing to Receive the Sacraments
This past weekend, our catechumens celebrated the Second Scrutiny, an important step in their preparation to receive the Sacraments of Initiation at Easter. Guided by our Religious Education Department and supported by our parish family, they continue this beautiful journey of conversion, prayer, and trust in the Lord. Let us keep in our prayers: Benjamin Medina, Isaac Medina, Benjamin Sanchez, Vicente Ferrer, Yeleny Magdaleno, Agustina Sanchez, Orieta La Rosa, and Samuel Levin. May Christ strengthen their hearts and lead them ever closer to the fullness of life in His Church. As they prepare to say their “yes” to Christ, let us pray for them!
Emmaus Women’s Retreat at Homestead Correctional Institution
This past weekend, an Emmaus Women’s Retreat was held at the Homestead Correctional Institution as part of the mission and outreach of the Archdiocese of Miami. It was an incredible and deeply moving experience marked by prayer, encounter, and the healing mercy of God.
We are especially proud and grateful that many of the parishioners who served on the retreat team were from our own St. Agnes community. Their generous witness, compassion, and willingness to accompany others made this weekend a true sign of hope and faith in action.
It was a powerful reminder that Christ meets us everywhere, and that through service, we become instruments of His love and mercy.
Consecration to St. Joseph
What a beautiful evening at St. Agnes as so many gathered to celebrate the Solemnity of St. Joseph and take part in the Consecration to this great saint, Patron of the Universal Church.
Surrounded by lilies, the flower traditionally associated with St. Joseph and his purity and faithful love, our community came together in prayer to entrust our lives, families, and parish to his powerful intercession. We are especially grateful to Fr. Reyes for leading us in this meaningful celebration, and to those who generously volunteered their time to helping make this moment possible. It was truly a grace-filled night, a reminder of St. Joseph’s quiet strength, protection, and guidance in our lives.
St. Joseph, faithful protector of the Holy Family, pray for us.
