What is Stewardship?

Stewardship is our grateful response to God’s gifts.

It means:

  • 1. Placing God first in our lives

  • 2. Recognizing that all we are and have come from Him

  • 3. Planning our giving intentionally

  • 4. Returning our gifts with increase

A Christian Steward:

  • Receives God’s gifts gratefully

  • Cultivates them responsibly

  • Shares them generously

  • Returns them faithfully to the Lord

Lord,
Help us remember that Christ has no hands on Earth but mine.
Our parish will be holy if I am holy.
Its pews will be filled when I help fill them.
It will be generous if I am generous,
And faithful if I am faithful.
Help me to share my talents, treasure, and time—
For Christ has no hands on Earth but mine.
