November 2025 - From the Pastor’s Desk

Dear Friends in Christ,

Thank you. Your faith and generosity make St. Agnes a place where Christ is truly encountered.

This past November 9th, as we mark the Feast of the Lateran Basilica, the Mother Church, we remember something simple: the Church isn’t walls; it’s us. In that spirit, I’m asking every household, especially those whom the Lord has blessed with abundance, to make a sacrificial, recurring offertory commitment and to choose one concrete way to serve this year.

No one is asked to do everything; each of us can do more:

  • More time: an hour in Adoration, a homebound visit, a Sunday to serve.

  • More talent: mentor our youth, proclaim the Word, share your professional gifts.

  • More treasure: a meaningful, ideally recurring, increase that strengthens and grows our ministries.

Like the waters flowing from the Temple in Ezekiel’s vision, God’s grace flows here whenever we say “yes” with our time, talents, and treasure.

Your yes becomes prayer, formation, mercy, and welcome. It sustains:

  • Effetá and Emmaus Retreats: awakening hearts to encounter Christ.

  • Marriage Covenant (Convenio Matrimonial): strengthening couples and families.

  • Youth Groups: guiding young people toward friendship with Jesus.

  • St. Agnes Academy & Religious Education (PREP): forming children and parents in faith and virtue.

  • Grief Support & Homebound Ministries: bringing Christ’s comfort to those in need.

  • Perpetual Adoration Chapel: sustaining our parish in prayer before the Eucharistic Lord.

  • Respect Life & Social Outreach: defending life and serving the poor and vulnerable.

  • Liturgical Ministries: Extraordinary Ministers, Lectors, Ushers, Music, Altar Servers, Hospitality: making every celebration a reverent and welcoming encounter with God.

  • Stewardship Ministry, SEA, Agnes Choir, Rosary Ministry and Opus Dei Retreats for Women: fostering gratitude, holiness, and renewal.

My friends, we have so many gifts in our Parish. We are so blessed. We ask that you please complete your Stewardship Commitment, on the card or online, this week.

If you’ve already responded, thank you; please consider one step more. Your generosity will strengthen and expand these works in lasting ways.

Know of my daily prayers for you and your families. May the Lord, who is never outdone in generosity, bless you for the love you show His Church.

Together we are St. Agnes
